Bug fixed, game back online
The bug that crashed the game two days ago is fixed.
It was a bad use of the skill "Reveal abilities of another mage [805]" on a non-existing skill or skill category.
I added an additional check in the code that should fix it.

Well, it's not that big a deal.
The olympia game crashed. This means I need to debug the old c code to see what went wrong. The turn report may be delayed for a few hours (up to a few days, depending on the severity of the bug and how hard it is to track down).
You will know if it's fixed as soon as you get your turn report.
Also, the forum is a good way to keep up to date.
Mailserver issues fixed
Hi all,
the mailserver did not get its emails through the NAT firewall, that problem seems to be corrected now.
You should start receiving order replies now.

Bugs fixed: Locate character, Summon fog & Quest
- Locate Character [847] should now correctly locate nobles.
- Summon Fog [826] should now check the existence of fogs in the correct location when used in combination with a farcast.
- Questing in a location that has recently been quested in should now report this immediately and cause the quest to fail (instead of taking the full 7 days).
Olympia g3 broke the 200 player mark!
A while ago already, our 200th player joined the Olympia g3 game. From the start, September 2010 - over six months ago already - we estimated that a number of the players who join will probably end up not playing (or stop playing without issuing the 'quit' command), and we estimated that number to be 10% of the player base.
Upon reaching 220 players, assuming a 10% loss of players, we have reached our 200-player mark!

Eating of the Dead [908] & Advanced Sorcery [920]
To gain access to Advanced Sorcery [920], a noble must first study Artifact Construction [880] and Forge Auraculum [881]. Once an Auraculum has been forged, the magic school Advanced Sorcery [920] is automatically learned. This should be the only way a noble can gain access to this magic school.
The Necromancy skill Eating of the Dead [908], however, allowed a noble to consume the dead body of another noble and learn Advanced Sorcery this way.
Server back up, Turn 11 runs tomorrow.
We just finished checking and double-checking everything. Everything is up and running.
We will run this weeks turn 2 days late, (tomorrow) on Thursday, November 11th at 6PM CET (a little over 20 hours from now).
After that, providing the server stays healthy, turns will be back to their normal schedule (Tuesdays, 6PM CET).

Bug fix: Savages
Savages have a 1% chance of appearing to attack an empty province building, instead of having a 1% chance NOT to appear.
